The tractor engine was adapted from the engine in the Standard Vanguard. The Vanguard engine was also adapted for the Triumph 1800 and Renown and later for the TR. <br> <br>As for what's a Triumph? If the company built it and put a Triumph badge on it it's a Triumph. Thus the Honda Ballade became the Acclaim.<br> <br>If it has a Triumph chassis and drivetrain that was supplied by the company to an authorized producer, it's a Triumph. Thus the Triumph Italia.<br> <br>If it uses components supplied by Standard-Triumph like engine, suspension bits, etc., but not chassis and body parts, it's not a Triumph.
