In October, "That
Looooong Race" has been held as long as I can remember. It has current era
<font size="2">racing</font> sanctioned by Midwest Council, but a day is set aside for vintage racing.
<font size="2">There</font> are four sessions on a Sunday of racing and the price is <font size="2">right</font>.<font size="2"> >>></font>
</tt></pre><pre style="font-size: 9pt;"><tt><font size="2">2015 is the 45th version of THAT LOOOONG RACE.  I won't be racing this year, but I'll be there and I've been attending this event every year since 1981.</font></tt></pre><pre style="font-size: 9pt;"><tt><font size="2">A highlight of the week end is the BIG WHEEL races out on the track at noon on Sunday.  </font></tt></pre><pre style="font-size: 9pt;"><tt><font size="2">After watching the real racing all day Saturday and Sunday the kids hit the track with their Big Wheels and Trikes to give it a whirl themselves.</font></tt></pre><pre style="font-size: 9pt;"><tt><font size="2">They all walk away winners, and get tee shirts and prizes.  They also have costume 'Trick or Treating' around to all of the corner worker stations.</font></tt></pre><pre style="font-size: 9pt;"><tt><font size="2">Thus the kids get a 'sugar high' that lasts until the Big Wheel Races.</font></tt></pre><pre style="font-size: 9pt;"><tt><font size="2">Beady Eye Racing was an involved sponsor of the Big Wheel Races for many years, and I will be contributing again this year.  I love it.</font></tt></pre><pre style="font-size: 9pt;"><tt><font size="2">If I recall...that's where both Tony Drews and Sean Alexander started out.  I think they raced BIG WHEEL until their early 20s.  Probably so.</font></tt></pre><pre style="font-size: 9pt;"><tt><font size="2"></font></tt> </pre><pre style="font-size: 9pt;"><tt><font size="2">Bill Dentinger</font></tt></pre><pre style="font-size: 9pt;"><tt><font size="2"></font></tt> </pre><pre style="font-size: 9pt;"><tt><font size="2"> </font>
