I'm only running about two race weekends per year and have been changing the oil once a year, as Rick said "whether it needs it or not!" Assuming run time limits are not reached, how long is the oil "good". Does it last longer than a year?</p><p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;"> </p><p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;">Same question for my street Triumphs, they sometimes only get 1,000 miles a year and get an annual oil change. The oil's protective properties lesson over time, but are not so much as to need changing every weekend. So filter change every weekend, oil change every other. Easier to do these changes between weekends, as doing it on an hourly basis may prevent you from making a session.
