I have been looking a little bit and thinking about downsizing both my trailer and tow rig.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;color:#0000ff">I have an 06 Dodge 3500 Cummins single axle 2wd that I currently tow my 24' with. It does very well when up to speed, plenty of torque to go up any mountain while towing. The downside has been twofold for me. I chose the 6-speed manual Getrag gearbox over the automatic at the time in 06 because of Chrysler's problems with their auto gearboxes. Because of this choice the truck has inadequate acceleration from a stop both towing and not. Rather keep my shifting to the racecar at this point. The other issue is the lack of 4wheel drive. Also chose this option as I figured in Virginia I didn't need it and I could get rack and pinion steering with out it. Well the winters have been lousy the last few years and although not used that much it would have been nice to have. Even parking in the paddock with 4wd would help in soft grassy areas. Low on the list of options has been the interior trim. The cloth seats in the Dodge need cleaning and are prone to any type of staining...I will go with leather next time.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;color:#0000ff">Maybe waiting on the diesel offering from Toyota...but for sure give the new Ford platform a couple years</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;color:#0000ff"><br></div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br clear="all"><div><div class="gmail_signature">Chip Collingwood<div><a href="http://theukmotorsports.com" target="_blank">theukmotorsports.com</a></div><div>(804) 564-1839</div></div></div>
