with him. He was honored as much as possible by the circumstances of the

National races happened at Watkins Glen. The victory was by Erwin "Ernie"
Lorincz. Lorincz was a independent grassroots racer who followed up that
victory with others (VIR) to gain the regional SCCA championship.
<BR><BR> Considering that he was
going against the factory back efforts of Group 44, he must have been a very
talented driver. From time to time, he was mentioned in the TOA newsletter.
Apparent stopped racing Triumphs soon after selling Spitfire to Doc Hickman.
<BR><BR> Not been able to find any
photographs of the event. Hoping that the museum at the Glen might have some
in its archives. Has anyone used the museum ? <BR></FONT><FONT lang=0
