[Fot] Maxpeeding rods for small journal Spitfire

Would there be any interest in “Maxpeedingrods” 4340 forged connecting rods
for the small journal Spitfire engines? (1147 and 1296)

These forged rods from China have been available for the TR3/4, TR6, GT6
and large journal Spitfire engines for a number of years, but up to this
point, they have not been available for the small journal engines.

I have used them in many of our street engine builds, closely checking
every rod before installation.  I usually find the rods are weight matched
within 1 gram, the big ends measure in the middle of the tolerance range,
and the small ends require just a slight hone for proper pin fit.  For
street and budget racing builds, these are a great alternative to reworking
stock rods.

I’ve discussed having a run of these made with the people at Maxpeeding, I
would need to order a minimum of 10 sets: If there is interest, I could
move forward with this, then offer them for sale for $575/set plus shipping
from Ohio.

These will be made from forged 4340 steel, and are a H-beam design with
5/16” ARP 2000 bolts included.
