My TR8 is running on Mustang axles. They are quite similar to the Southwick system. I have heard that the securing ring on the axle which keeps the bearing in place can be pressed or I have "heard" they need to be shrinked on. Making the ring red hot and slide it on the axle shaft in place. What is right? Pressing on - which would be easy, or shrinking, what I didn't do before. The reason I'm asking, the bearings don't stay in place and the shaft moves in the bearing. The securing ring is not strong enough. Normally it is no problem, but Lausitzring is an anti clockwise track which made the left axle moving. The right axle is doing well. I suppose the fit is tighter than on the left side.
