Yes, if he joins the Western PA Triumph Assoc. he will get plenty of help from an experienced crew, most of whom live in the Pittsburgh area.  Our membership representative is Larry Ross.  Have your friend get in touch with Larry and go from there.  Larry's email address shown above.

One of my race buddies recently sold a TR6 street car to someone with zero mechanical ability who lives just north of Pittsburgh.  (Sharpsburg).
We are trying to keep the guy from taking the car to Pep Boys or the like for repairs, where he will quickly get frustrated and lose interest.

Any thoughts on good shops?  Car needs odds and ends now, but who knows in the future.  Back in my Pittsburgh days I would have suggested Boffo Motors, but I understand they are gone.
