 I agree that just finishing in these races is a win. Not sure that I would go back next year.  With it being so far away (I am in far eastern MA), its tough to get there during the season to learn the track better to be competitive.  I need to check my odometer, but I think it was about 2800 miles round trip.  
I watched the SRF race from the viewing area at turn 5 with the big screen.  Saw on the screen the rear corner of body work flying off and was glad to see that it did not land on anyone, but didn't know if someone later hit it.  JoeB

Man, if I’d have known there were so many FOT’ers around the Runoffs paddock, I’d have hosted a party!  We carry a portable “wood fired” (propane) pizza oven that cranks out some pretty good pizza.  Maybe next year?
 
  
 
I was there with my Spec Racer Ford.  Our group had a similar week.  So many crashes, body panels flying everywhere, Virtual Safety Car sessions.  But even the Spec Wrecker Fords are smart enough not to go through The Kink 3 wide.  We have a strict limit of 2 wide.  
 
  
 
With all the interrupted quali sessions, my quali did NOT go at all well and I ended up in 44thof 57 cars.   But I moved up to 31st in the race, mostly by not dying, getting the car to the finish line in one piece.  I’m calling that a win and hoping to do better next year.  Fast time of 2:32.9, about 1.7 seconds off my best times there.

Anthony, I did not get a chance to stop by your paddock, but saw you driving around down in the north paddock at one point during the week.  Did not see you at the NER party Tuesday night.  I was racing in my FP Miata.  My son was there too in my Bumble Bee Miata, but blew the engine Monday afternoon.  No one was willing to sell their spare engine, so he went home sad.  While I had the same HP as the winning Miata with a Prather engine, I needed to find another 10 seconds (found 8 for my first qualifying session, but still needed 10 more to be in the mix).  First time at RA and only got one full test day session and one full qualifying.  Others were cut to 2 or 3 laps due to crashes.  I was surprised by the number of crashes in most groups during the week.  FP Miata driver paddocked next to me went to the hospital (dropped a wheel off coming out of carousel, spun and hit wall), one Spec Miata driver was air lifted out during qualifying (trying to go 3 wide thru kink), while others went by ambulance to hospital, GT1 driver, Lou Gigliotti, who started his race career in what is now my TR3A, went to hospital with multiple fractures.  
 
  
 
My goal for the race was just to keep my nose clean (Jesse Prather's advice too) and finish.  I started 23rd and finished 15th.  Had a couple cars to race with at the back, so that kept it interesting.  Only got down to 1:46.3.
