 not sure where the title Purple People Eater comes from but when I grew up in Fort Worth Overseas Motors had the Purple People Eater Mini Cooper and it was a National Championshop SCCA car.. there may have been two of them but my friend Robert Hoemke in Abilene has them restored and races them occassionally with CVAR... https://www.montemini.com/images_temp/640640000TradingCard2.jpg

Hello Group, just an update from a couple of weekends back  at Road Atlanta for the Mitty  . My brother Shawn Brazelton and I were able to get the # 74  Purple People Eater back on the track .  She started a little slow , but that was ok not having run since 2012. So  after a little sorting out she came back to life.  We finished 4th in Saturday's sprint race and Third in Sunday's Race having some fun with a couple of MGB's.  The weather was off and on rain but all of our races were in the dry.  All and all it was a good weekend.Thank you to all of the help that everyone offered up with advice on the Radiator and the Steering Wheel quick release.  Both issues were resolved successfully.  Also Special thanks to Tony Drews fot the advice and help that He offered up.  
Now back to the Slagle TR 8 to try and finish it up for the Kasner Cup.  Hope to see all of you there.
