Good morning, Amici
It's still feeling very much like winter here in the upper midwest but summer will be here before we know it and the 2023 Kastner Cup at Road America is just under 4 months away. Even this far out, we already have 21 entrants from all over the country.and are working on paddock plans. For those of you that haven't registered yet but are planning on coming, please consider doing so at your earliest convenience - it is helpful in our planning and with discussions with the track. At the very least, if you could reach out to us and let us know that you plan on being there Mark and I will be able to use that in our planning activities and would would really appreciate it!
Here is a list of our entrants to date:
Brendon Alexander
Tony Drews
Alex Schlesinger
Karen Menne-Jacobsen
Eric Jacobsen
Dan Gehweiler
Dave Riddle
Brian McEldowney
Henry Morrison
Bob Lang
Phil Gott
Rick McCurdy
Mike Harmuth
Tom Reiss
Tim Slater
David Cutter
Mike Deweerd
Pete Passon
David Gott
Mike Jackson
Russ Westfall
I have attached a map of who is coming from where and as you can see we have a strong contingent from the Northeast but also FOT'ers coming from great distances and we are really excited to see everyone. It's had to beat Wisconsin in the summer. Registration for the event can be found here: https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/weathertech-international-challenge-july-13th-16th-road-america-327737
After you register, we will follow up with you for some additional information that we are using to put together to plan the paddock as for a Kastner Cup event guide that we are putting together. When you register, you will be asked for the area of the paddock that you would like to be in. There is a choice for Kastner Cup - North Paddock and we hope you will join us in there. If you do not want to paddock with the rest of the Triumph group you can make a different selection but we'd love to see everyone together. If you have any questions you can absolutely reach out to us before you register. We are also putting together a bunch of information about navigating the event in general that we will send out before the event that will help first timers find there way to the track and through registration.
We are starting to make some headway on fundraising and are very grateful for those that have made donations to the cause so far. They will be put to good use as we commission the new Kastner Cup trophy as well as the other awards and hospitality considerations. The first run of posters is being printed now and we will post details on how to get one soon. We will also post information on ordering Kastner Cup shirts for those that are interested. As always, 100% of the profits from the sale of these items goes toward the hosting of the Kastner Cup this year and anything left over goes toward next year's event. Individual contributions are always welcome and appreciated. We have tried to make it easier this year by setting up our GoFundMe account at https://gofund.me/87c1b0d1 https://gofund.me/87c1b0d1 . Some people have expressed a preference to donate by check which is perfectly fine too! You can mail any donations to:

We are very grateful to all of those that have registered or contributed their support so far and are humbled by the spirit of this group. Please be on the lookout for more updates in the next week and for those of you also stuck in second winter right now think warm thoughts - July isn't as far away as it feels...
Best regards,
