 If the action feels good in both directions, there's no end-play, & the cups aren't turning, they're likely OK.Often an early sign of failure is when the cups start to turn; I paint reference marks on the end of the cup & yoke so it's obvious if they're moving around.Personally if I were to go through the effort of removing them for servicing, they're cheap enough that I would fit new ones & 0-time it...

Arguably greased for life? I’ve got the car apart, there was no play in the spicer joints when assembled, any point in disassembling and greasing?  If so, can i just add more grease or does everything need to be cleaned (in that case, fugeddaboutit!)
