I can't give you any data on HP gains, but with proper engine management, you should be able to increase the efficiency of the engine. And if you care to play with the fuel maps, you can def. wring some HP out. The drawback is that if you try too hard, things go bad... fast.
There's no question that fuel injection is better. But it also flies in the face of "vintage", so it depends on what you're after. I'd say for a vintage racer - it's a non-starter. For anyone else looking for power, maybe and for anyone looking for efficiency, repeatability and dependability - fuel injection, electronic fuel injection, is a no brainer.
Carbs, on the other hand are simple, once you get past the notion that they are simple. And you just live with the compromises.
As far as kits go, there's a guy in ME Rick Patton that sells a setup using the stock Zenith Stromberg carb bodies and a re-mapped pre OBD computer. That setup has been installed in a lot of cars going back around 20 years. It's a pretty good system and can be made to look almost stock. There's another series of kits designed by Ramin Mirshab that uses port injection and a throttle body paired with a MicroSquirt 3 controller. This setup can be made to look very much like the TR6 PI setup with the intake air "log". rat-co.com has been listing this kit for 6-pot Triumphs as well as 4-pot TR's and Spitfires. The setup looks pretty good. I haven't seen any numbers on either setup, but they offer better efficiency and tuneability - especially the MicroSquirt controlled setup. With a laptop, a chassis dyno and some time and money, you should be able to squeeze some HP out of pretty much any setup.

Didn't answer your question, but there you are.

Does anyone out there have data on throttle body fuel injection on any
of the triumph motors?  Any Hp gains? Kits out there etc?

Can talk off line but trying to research.
