Brian's write-up is incredible. I think I have read it 4 times to figure
out how to extend additional thoughts to express gratitude that Brian
succinctly conveys.

To build upon Brian's well articulated message I'll do my best here by
simply adding a few additional thoughts to underline and reiterate:

Every year, the Kastner Cup has always adapted to the event, venue, and
sanctioning body. This, of course, brings both opportunities and challenges
all at the same time.

   - Brian and I did our best to align with the fundamental tenets of the
Kastner Cup set forth by our predecessors.
   - Road America was incredible to work with as a sanctioning body. They
were flexible and supportive leading up to the event and through-out the
weekend. This said, we did run into some challenges with this size of an
event but Road America staff made note on several occasions the
professionalism of Kastner Cup participants. We all really represented Kas
   well here.
   - We worked hard at making sure both race entries and street Triumphs
were accommodated, presented, and together in the paddock. With the number
of overall race entries to the WIC, we were making adjustments in the weeks
and days leading up to the event for street and race paddock parking. We
really appreciated everyone's flexibility in changes and approach.

A peek behind the scenes for just a moment:

   - Grid position for the Kastner Cup race was determined by the very
seasoned and helpful timing and scoring staff at Road America based on the
qualifying sessions on Saturday. Not all cars participated in qualifying
which resulted in the grid presented for Sunday's race. Good feedback from
drivers and the Grand Marshal proved very helpful and is an example of
where RA staff were flexible in working with us. 3 trips to timing and
scoring Sunday morning corrected the grid but didn't perfectly translate to
false grid staff and running order. For those racing participants on
false-grid on Sunday, you experienced a bit of delay as we continued to
work with the grid marshal to make "most" of the corrections. Thanks for
   your patience and feedback.

To add to Brian's comment, "it takes a village":

   - Throught-out the past year, Grand Marshal, Joe Alexander, provided
invaluable feedback and counsel to make this event happen. The important
relationship with Kas firmly sustains the future of the Kastner Cup.
   - Curt. Your process oriented approach we simply tried to build-upon
   your success.
   - 2017 Kastner Cup Chairs: Brian Garcia and Jason Ostrowski. Their
experience hosting the 2017 Kastner Cup and connections with RA proved
invaluable. We were able to leverage many of their ideas and efforts and
for this event Brian Garcia really laid the groundwork with RA to make it
all happen. Many meetings and phone calls.
   - The topic of the Kastner Cup grid for Sunday is important as it is a
great example of how well everyone works together for the Kastner Cup event
each year and this is where I really want to highlight *Henry Frye*.
Henry was back in Connecticut working up spreadsheets for the running
order. This was never asked of Henry, not planned, but immensely
valuable. We were able to take Henry's analysis to timing and scoring and
make changes to the grid. So, thanks to Henry. Well played at an
   important moment.
   - Bob Johns and family: Your feedback is always on-point. Your
attendance is very much a highlight of the Kastner Cup weekend. Thank-you.
