Scott, I went from a welded diff to a Quaife last year. Easier in the
paddock etc to drive and push around. In the corners, less fighting the
wheel, more point and shoot. Downside, I'm getting some wheel hop when I
hit the gas. I've been making suspension, tire pressure and shock
adjustments to dial it out, almost there. For the K Cup (and not one of the
fast cars), I put an old welded diff in to get a better ratio (3.89) vs the
normal 4.11 Quaife. Not sure I made the right call, no idea how many hills
were at RA, but with all the settings the same, no wheel hop so it must be
caused by the Quaife.
GT6 diff in the car for the big stub axles, Quaife PN QDF8K. I ordered it
last spring directly from Quaife when the exchange rate was pretty good.
