[Fot] Close ratio gears

I have a close ratio set from a TR7 in a Spitfire 3 rail box. John at
Quantium makes them up. He has the input shaft cut down and hardened to
match whatever Triumph they're attached to. I'm using a 10 spline version
to fit a 1296 SJ engine but he makes them for GT6 and 1500's as well. Full
syncro, the only downside is, while close ratio rearing, 3rd gear isn't the
optimum range for the torque curve of my engine.
Rock solid, the only problem I had was when the diff chipped a tooth. It
locked up at speed and among other fun stuff twisted the driveshaft, broke
the tailpiece and bent the output shaft. The same gears are still in it, 15
years later.
