 I'm pretty sure that the early Herald used the aluminum case, perhaps someone else can confirm this?
 I have one too, stashed away somewhere...

I acquired this transmission with a bunch of spares when I bought a Spitfire awhile back.  I have not been able to track down the origin.  Does anyone have any info on what car this came from?
