The thing about the Snell certification, the Snell Foundation issues the new stickers in October of the cert year (for the SA, K and M anyway). So the 2020 stickers were released to Manufacturers in October 2020. To avoid a land rush for new helmets, many (most?) sanctioning bodies now maintain the "old" standard for one more year (e.g. 2010 was still legal for the 2021 season), requiring the new standard in the second year (e.g. 2022).
Your 2015 helmets should be good through the 2026 season in many/most sanctioning bodies.

true for VRG.  Good for ten years. I just replaced my 2010 this year as they seem to give you a year grace period.

Hello all-  Question:  Are SA2015 Helmets still legal for racing?  Am I correct in thinking that they are legal for ten years from the 2015 date, therefore until 2025?  Is this assumption true for VRG as well as other sanctioning bodies?  Thanks!-- Jay De Pol
