[Fot] maxpeeding rods

I'll bite on this one - for the TR6, the MAxSpeeding rods are 110 grams lighter and NEW metal. The quality was impressive.

My direct experience is one set, but it needed zero re-sizing. Pin sizing was perfect. My machinist didn't charge me to check them.
Frankly, I was shocked at that outcome based on the price, but I'd def. buy another set in the future, assuming that they are available. It was cheaper by far than fully prepping a set of stock rods (size, balance end to end, lighten, shot peen, etc.) And there is no way to get a set of stock rods that light and maintain the integrity and strength of the rods.

So if these Maxspeed rods need to go to a machine shop to be resized, why not just take in your TR rods and have them done?  Then you get a new set of rod bolts and you don’t have to worry about fit.  Ken

I asked the same question, more or less, about 2 years ago. The consensus at that time was that you should have a good machine shop check all dimensions and resize as needed.

fellow triumphers,

I'm in the process of building a "stockish" TR4 motor. The stock rods need to be rebuilt so I thot I'd use a set of Maxpeeding rods as they are not much more money than the cost to rebuild the stockers. Has anyone used a set of these in an 87mm sleeve? Will they fit down the bore or are they too wide to fit without going to a larger bore?

if its not one thing, its another...
