I looked into those Venolia pistons. They come without wrist pins. Sourcing wrist pins alone is an issue, and they need to be matched to the piston. Just a heads up…
The way you propose to use the car, the flat top County Pistons and matched liners available from most suppliers will do fine. You will need to shave the head just to maintain your stock effective compression ratio due to the late closing of the intake valve with that cam. Take .100 off the head, clean up the combustion chambers and enjoy.

The shop selling them has gotten some bad press since the original owner moved on but it looks like they're in the process of selling off old inventory and these seem like a good price. I bought a set of Venolia Spitfire pistons from them yesterday and they're on the way.

It has a Crane 244-310-8 cam, and the head has been ported and is running big valves, so we are figuring the compression should be in the 10.5-11.5:1 range. It has H-beam rods and a worked crank, but we will still keep the revs under 6500 in an attempt to keep it all in one piece.
