Yes, there was frame straightening, body work, fiberglass work, replacing the radiator,
then the next day replacing the driveshaft, as well as tweaking the alignment. It was
quite the team effort.

There were many memories made by the event but the overnight rebuild of the TR5 which I believe included some frame straightening was the most memorable.

That was fun, thanks Bob. After pulling an all-nighter to get Chris's car back on track,
I still remember how gratifying it felt to see him do so well. It was worth it all.
Thanks,
John

Hi,
Long story short: I had some issues getting this video processed, but I finally got it all sorted out and posted it you U toob:
2002 Mid Ohio Triumph
2002 Mid Ohio Triumph
New England Triumphs caravaned to Mid-Ohio to help Rich Bolton and his newly acquired TR3 (formerly John Harness' car) - when I got to the track, I realized that I had left my bag of film at home. Rich came through and handed me a box of fresh Kodachrome with the instruction: get some good shots. I got a lot of good shots that weekend, but for the All Triumph feature I decided that catching cars coming through the esses would be fun. About half-way through the race, I put the Canon T70 down to shoot some video. I got the video posted here. When I picked up the camera to blow off the last couple of frames, the camera had died. I was amazed that it worked then just died with no warning. I tried shooting film for about a year after that, but the event led to my adopting digital cameras.
In any case, I got around 100 film images from that weekend and I've scanned a few, but I thought the greater FOT might like to sea AND HEAR the cars - and see Chris Petch's (sp?) miraculous "comeback" for the feature.
WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND THAT WAS!
c ya,
Bob Lang
