This is so sad. I met Bill many times over the years and considered him a friend. He was funny, approachable and always, always, welcoming. If he could he would, if had something to share he did.

I have lovely memories of dinner in one of the Wisconsin clubs with him and many other race drivers, he was a special man and will always be in my heart.

Farewell Bill, dear friend.
