Six feet with a single post portable lift? Ah, no thanks. I have a two post (like the one that dumped the car in the pic) and I only trust it when I’ve shaken the crap out of the car without any wiggling. Even then, I am damn careful when I’m under the thing.

It isn’t as good as a true 2-post, 4-post, etc., but you can run a creeper the length of the car, unlike a scissors jack, I’m talking Spitfire, TR250, ‘67 Porsche, etc.! The 5k or 3.5k models both fit between our LBC cars’ wheels. They run about ~$1200. I got mine used 1x at a Porsche swap meet for 1/2 price of new. Local MG club guy just sold one NIB, for less than new…missed it by a day! Definitely worth looking on multiple sales lists too!

I believe I saw one where the part that goes under the car folds up to allow stowage against a wall. Looking for 6 ft or more of lift. I went on line but couldn’t find it (I can’t find much!).
