[Fot] FOT placement in next Burt Levy book? A tribute or thanks to Kas?

Me, too. I’m in for at least 50. (...If there weren’t so many irons in the fire!🙄)
My first sports car was a 68 gt6. Had to keep it hidden from my parents because I looked at a Spitfire for my first car a few years earlier. My dad went up one side and down the other- he couldn’t fathom how a classical bass player could justify such a purchase. So, I rebounded a few days later and purchased a used (not a fleet car) ‘72 Checker A11 (taxi). You could fit the whole bass section, along with their instruments inside that sucker!
I still have the comp prep manual for the gt6, although I could never have afforded any modifications back then. Kas Kastner was my hero long before I knew it.

We could get in fact a full page at 2’000, as a free size upgrade for non profit ? (2'000 being the half page price and full page the next size), if we are say 20, this will make 100 per head. Thanks for organising this, it’s great ! With kindest regards Alex Camoletti (Lake Geneva …. Switzerland)      De : Fot [mailto:fot-bounces at autox.team.net] De la part de Barr, Scott via Fot

Objet : Re: [Fot] FOT placement in next Burt Levy book? A tribute or thanks to Kas?      OK, a fair amount of interest here.   I’ll let this tick on for awhile and see how much interest there is.  It might help if you give me an idea of what you’re willing to kick in, if you’re interested.      For perspective, here are the rates we’re talking about (I hope the image comes through): <image001.png>    In case the image didn’t come through, display ads are $3,000 for a full page to $1,500 for a quarter page (with $250 discount for non-commercial content) and personal ad rates are $1,000 for a quarter page.            From: Fot <fot-bounces at autox.team.net> On Behalf Of Barr, Scott via Fot

Subject: [Fot] FOT placement in next Burt Levy book? A tribute or thanks to Kas?      So a lot of us probably got the same email from Burt Levy with the latest update/excuses regarding the publication of the next book in the series.  Included in that was a solicitation for the usual mid-book adverts.  FOT has done those from time to time.  Bill Dentinger usually was the instigator and since he seems unlikely to step up, I thought I might throw out the idea for consideration.    What if the FOT placed an ad publicly thanking Kas?  Or marking Bill’s passing?  Or both?  Or something else?    I’d kick in for that cause.  Anybody else interested?    Scott (B.)      From: Burt Levy <thinkfast at mindspring.com>

Subject:       Glad you asked, young man. Step right up… I’m assuming you’re familiar with the books and have seen the ad sections, and I’ve attached the Standard Boilerplate Pitch we send to all potential advertisers. The nitty gritty (cost-wise) is on page 5. Will be happy to chat with you about it if you like, Burt     _______________________________________________
