There are some similarities with my Renault Alpine tow car. The Alpine has no homologation for towing, the engine is behind the rear axle. I had to make reinforcements from the rear suspension points onwards.

I was at Hardy’s house and he still had the E-Type. He used the cross member/rear transmission mount to reinforce the spare tire pan so he could attach part of the hitch to flat tow the TR3. 
He also took out the back wall of the garage area so the garage extended into the living area. 

He is an extremely interesting person. He used the racing as an antidote to PSTD after his tour in Vietnam.
