I’ve had Heacock for years also. $250 a year covers my race car (HP Spitfire) and trailer (open flatbed). It’s off-track coverage. Never had a claim.

Used to have K&K, got pissed off that they required a complete re-application every year as if it was a new policy. Heacock just bills the renewal. One time they called, “Do you have a trailer, we’ll cover that too, no extra charge.” I’ve actually about doubled the stated value of the car with no increase in premium (as in, the base premium covered that much, why not?).

What I see of Hagerty I like. If I was shopping a new coverage, I’d likely start there. But I’m very  happy with Heacock.

I use Heacock and have for years. They are owned by a larger company too.  Only had one claim, which they honored with zero issues.

My old insurance company is getting out of the business so I am looking for a new one (I have a month or so before my policy expires).  They sold the customer list to Hagerty; I may switch to them but I was wondering who else is out there that is a good, responsible insurance company that others have had good experiences with.
