I've used Haggerty for years..have the 2 race cars, my street TR6, and I've used them for a couple of Miatas and even my 2005 Lotus Elise before I sold it. I had the declare the Elise wasn't to be tracked... it wasn't.as far as insurance in general, do yourself a favor and use a service like compare.com just to , well , compare... when I did I switched to Elephant and saved 100's of dollars...then did the same with our home... I have no loyalty to an insurance company.. my daughter was in the Navy and was using USAAA or whatever they sell to military...she to switched to another company... I check nearly every year...

I had JC Taylor for years (no claims). I went with them after USAA was painful on a claim for my Triumph (was in the shop {Motörhead} & on mechanic’s test drive a lady in a minivan backed into it). USAA eventually covered 80% of repairs.I have race car, race trailer & TR250 w/ Hagerty now. USAA still covers the rest of the fleet, they are great on newer vehicles.

I always felt that the real test of an Insurance Company was when you make a claim. I have done that with Hagerty Insurance Co. They were prompt, accurate and basically said not to worry about any surprise issues in the repair process. So yes I do recommend. I also have heard good things about J.C. Taylor. Jay

Hi Dave. The same thing happened to me. I started getting letters from Haggerty before I even heard from my insurance agent. I didn't like their "grab and go" approach and the premium on my policies went up (I have 5 cars insured). However, I'm glad to hear all of the positive responses you have gotten to your question. That reassures me a bit.
Regards.

Hi, all.
My old insurance company is getting out of the business so I am looking for a new one (I have a month or so before my policy expires). They sold the customer list to Hagerty; I may switch to them but I was wondering who else is out there that is a good, responsible insurance company that others have had good experiences with.
Thanks!
