[Fot] TR6 Front crankshaft extension

Hello all! I'm working on my wife's TR6 race car and it has an electric fan, but still has the iron extension that the stock fan bolts to. Is there any reason to leave this in place? Since I know these crankshafts have some wonky (to say the least) harmonics, I wasn't sure if I should remove it.
