As one of the earliest VSCDA members, I recall their Medical Form was meant to get a respected medical expert (a doctor) to say, "I know of no medical reasons that should prevent this VSCDA member from racing.".  I remember thinking, "Who the hell would want to sign that?"  But they did.
Now, if VSCDA is going to start second guessing these "experts", I wonder if it is something their insurance carrier is encouraging.  Regardless, they're opening a can of worms.  My guess is there is one (or several) people they are worried about.
Damned if you do and damned if you don't.  Certainly a member with boarderline medicals can find some doctor, somewhere to sign his form.  If the Board feels qualified to second guess this stuff, they must feel it is important, because when you start drawing such lines (not accepting signed medicals), you've opened a can of worms.

I agree with you.  Last week, I told them that I would not be running events with them under these terms.  I explained that I Look forward to seeing them when things return to reality.  They have someone involved with the board that is taking all of this way too far. 
We hope to run a few SVRA events later in the season, if some of this settles down.  We know they are working hard to find a way to get the season going. 
We are not concerned about the exposure of being at the track. We feel all the rest of this non-sense will take all the fun out of being there.   So we will wait and see before we start spending money.
