Tony,
Please don't take me off any mailing lists for saying this, For a lot of
folks vintage racing has been a non-profit, club activity for a very long
time. The thought of doing things differently and following a well run
business model that would include something like this can run counter to
some guys vintage club DNA. Through the wrong filter, something with
honorable intentions like this offer can be seen as wrong-minded. On a bad
day the sun doesn't ever shine.
To get the right filter we have to consciously change the lens. In our
pre-covid world tracks were already struggling with generating enough
revenue to make business sense. Now the future is even more scary. Any
track, or any organization that wants to be in the business of promoting
events has a huge challenge in front of them post pandemic. They have to
try new and different things, they have to take care of their people, and
find a way to do that while paying all the bills. The SVRA has been doing
that since you took over. I don't agree with everything the SVRA does
that's okay.
Can I recruit some backers for the Woodstock 6 social distancing festival?
