[Fot] TR2/3 stuff for auction this Saturday in Lancaster, OH

I was able to attend the estate sale of Joe Richards and his wife Dottie.
Must have been several hundred people in attendance with two auctioneers
working at the same time to get through all of the items in 1 day. I would
not say Joe was a TR parts hoarder but he certainly had a ton of pieces and
parts he accumulated over the years. Plus lots of memorabilia from the TRA
events he organized. Probably a dozen or so people interested in the TR
items and the bidding was very active. Prices were reasonable and I scored
some very good deals. How about a wide mouth TR3 cowl in near perfect
condition for $200? TR3 complete engine for $50. A-type OD for $37. I
left with two dozen fenders and other body panels for $7. It was worth the
3 hours drive. Dottie still has the beautiful black TR3 that Joe restored
for her. Probably worth close to $40K.
