[Fot] Looking for a trailer

I looked for a a lightweight all aluminum trailer for quite a while before settling on a Montrose 18 footer with 6’ ceiling. I looked at pretty much everything and considered an enclosed Trailex (I’ve got an open Trailex- lightweight and made well), but I wanted a drop down ramp. Trailex didn’t do this as of 2018. Deal breaker.
The trailer had to fit cars as wide as my Esprit V8, and as long as my XJS. It has a pass side (camper style) door and a huge awning door on the driver side so you can get t out of a closed car. I ordered 4 corner jacks so when I stay at the track on race weekends, the “Casa Azul” is level. Makes for a better nights sleep!

Montrose trailers all open in the front like a snowmobile trailer (they started making snowmobile trailers in 1971) and mine tipped the scales at 2150 before I began my customizing. It left a little over 19k hole in my pocket.

The website is a challenge, but they will build whatever you want. Apparently, I was the first customer to ask for blue. I really like mine.

The Aerovault is around 30k by the time you finish the wish list. Trailex, around 28.

Good luck with your search!

These seem to exist as motorcycle trailers with about 5’-6” inside height clearance. About 1’-0”+ lower than a typical enclosed trailer. The problem with motorcycle trailers is they tend to be too narrow and not long enough. Any idea where I might find one car sized? My next step will be custom order, but I’d rather not pay for custom.
