I think it might prevent damage to barriers, but if we could only figure out how to prevent damage to racecars…

I wish I had that at the Canadian vintage races a few years ago... it prevents you from hitting barriers, right?

There was a recent thread on Barrier Cream. I ran across two old tubes of a product that my dad used many years ago and that I also used from time to time.
The product is Kerodex 51. It was made by Ayerst Laboratories in NY. I googled it and found you can still get it on Amazon for about $40 for 4 oz.
Another option.
