Listers, following the Calico Coatings (main bearings coatings) discussion last year, two questions:
1.The coating adds some thickness (variable on demand but approx. 5-10 microns), does that need to be taken into consideration in the clearance?
2.The coating adds also thickness on the edges of the bearings, this will tend to increase the ID of the fitted bearings. Should the edges be sanded to remove the coating and restore the original ID?
Thanks for your suggestions here!
Kind regards from Europe (Geneva, Switzerland)

I buy my TR-4 tri-metal bearings from BP Northwest and then send them to Calico Coatings for that part. Not exactly what you're looking for, but Calico Coatings is who I've used for over 10 years and am very happy with. Just be sure to mail them them Denver North Carolina - I once sent to Denver Colorado instead. That was a delay of game.

anyone aware of a source for high quality tri-metal engine bearings for the GT6/TR6, preferably already coated, so that I don’t need to subsequently send them out?
Also, recommendations on coatings/vendors who do same?
thanks,
Scott
