Halon is gaseous at atmospheric pressure and liquid when under pressure, just like LP gas. If it still weighs the same it hasn’t lost any contents, and if the valve isn’t corroded, it ought to work just fine. If you’re concerned take it to one of those shops that recharges and inspects fire extinguishers and get them to inspect and certify it.
