[Fot] To be seen at the Kastner Cup

This car is a TR3 Beta.  3 to 5 of them were made as prototypes in 1959.  Well before the TR4A IRS.  My memory was just refreshed of these cars from reading Bill Piggott's Triumph TR book.  Wide bodies were made to fit the developing TR4 frame, which was still a solid axle but it had ring and pinion steering.  The leading edge of the doors were wider for a smooth transition to the wider fender.  
The TR4 body design had not yet been completed, but the TRS was being developed has it's prototype.
The TR3B is a TR3A with a TR4 engine and trans that got the TCF prefix in the VIN instead of the TR2-3s TS prefix.
