not to be confused with Jim Clipper, who ran my formerly black '68 GT6 in the same time frame on the same tracks.

Jim Klepinger ran an all black 69 gt6 plus that was a rocket back in the late 70's and early 80's in the Northeast. Saw him run plenty at Summit Point

Was the original owner from CT? I recall a black GT6 that was quite fast being campaigned by a husband&wife team from CT in the early to mid ‘70’s. It had some sort of white logo on the rear window.
It was offered for sale in the late 70’s by the couple. I looked at it with a friend. The car was decently prepped but the engine was stuck.

>> Hi,
>> I bought this car a couple of years ago as a roller out of NH. I was given a tragic story of the racer/owner. He moved somewhere west or mid-west, shipped most of the parts and documents for the car then suddenly pasted away. A few years later his widow got around to cleaning out the storage in NH which contained the car. She disposed of the parts and documentation that was shipped west to a local repair shop that sold the parts. The person I purchased the car from bought it with intentions of rebuilding it. It was stored for a couple of years then moved outside for several years. Then on an impulse buy I bought it. It sat for a couple years at my house then moved to my friends shop (Her Majesty’s Auto Service) where it’s been for about a year now. An associate of my friend happened to see it and said he saw the car in 1978 at Lime Rock Park. He had the attached picture he forwarded to me of the car at Lime Rock. It sparked my interest again so wondered if maybe anyone on the list may recognize the car?
