[Fot] Mufflers?

I heard it from someone else and I've tried it myself : the endpipe turned upwards gives much better noise reduction than turning it downwards, probably because of the reflection of the sound waves upon the track surface when turned down.

Thats what I have on the Alfa. A straight pipe with a turn down on the end that I can rotate away from the sound testing equip.

What are folks using on GT6 to get noise down to 98db? Full race 12:1 2.0L. Most local (New England) tracks have noise rules. Some have open exhaust days but are limited.
