There were times when Swiss Valley had taken cheese to competition contests in Europe (Paris, Berlin, etc.), where it would win ribbons. Then parts of those Championship Cheese Wheels would end up at our Wine & Cheese Parties. Bob’s wine, Don’s cheese, and Harold Baker’s BBQ’d meat balls made those events legend.Bill Dentinger

And that sharp yellow cheddar he would bring was to die for! I miss those wine and cheese events.

Part of the issue is MINDORO is a pretty small cheese maker, owned by SWISS VALLEY. Very limited supply. I always wondered why they do not expand, but I guess they know what they are doing. Our Don Brick was an officer and operations manager for Swiss Valley. Bill Dentinger

Nice to hear you carried on the traditional Beady Eye wine & cheese party. My first trip to Road America for the Motrah event in 2007, I first met the Beady Eye Boys.

I was exposed to the great Mindoro Blue Cheese and have not been satisfied with any other since. I was led to the trough by Henry Frye and I have not been right since.

I feel as though I have been blessed by the Gods. Great memories and great times.

Keep up the tradition.

I failed to mention in my race report - I hosted the normal Beady Eye Racing wine and cheese in the traditional Beady Eye garage. The next door neighbor bought Bob Wismer's S2000 and knew Bob well. They competed on who brought the best the Bleu Cheese. We had a toast to Bob and Bill and times past. God-speed Bob and we miss you at the track, Bill!
