We used to call them Bazooka welds.
Looked like a wad of Bazooka bubble gum.
That's why I took some advanced welding courses at the local Vo Tech school.
Improve my skills.
Cheers, Bill

I am restoring a TR6, besides the hacks on the electrical system, the car
has proven to be remarkably original.
Tonight I was removing the rear wheel arch foam padding that is glued to the
wheel arch. I found evidence of original quality British welding underneath.
Made me feel ok about my welding skills.
I guess I am a geek as I love finding this kind of stuff. Now have to debate
if I am over-restoring the car by cleaning this up prior to paint and
installing new foam.
