[Fot] re IMSA TR8 lost a conrod

There could be a chance that the block has survived.
Today I removed some of the shrapnels from the oil pan and had a look inside the engine.
The pistons are still there, also conrod shaft seems to be okay.
I would say a rod bolt snapped.
I didn’t see much damage, maybe a new crank is needed, maybe also the camshaft is damaged.
I’ll go deeper in short future, when the engine is out of the car.

there is still lots of rover V8 stuff here in australia and a couple of engine specialists that send modified stuff all over the world. we had our own mass-produced long stroke/big bore version with a locally made block & crank, long before Leyland thought about it for the RangeRover
