[Fot] Toyo R888 - tyre pressures?

my GT6 is heavier - 2050 lb with me in it, and 6x13 wheels.  Toyo told me tire pressures should end up in the mid-to-high 30 lb range once hot.  I usually start out at 28-29 and find they pick up 7 psi once warmed up, in summer weather.

The car is a '62 Spitfire - 1425 Lbs with 5.5x13 wheels  The tyres have been shaved and heat cycled.
 
I have heard that they work best hot in the low 40 psi range and you should start off at 33-35 psi.
 
Looking for others thoughts and experiences.
