That’s true, it’s the center main bearing getting tired. I had the pan off mid season and all the rod bearings were perfect but the center main was showing wear, as usual.
Based upon past experience and the feedback It will be time for pistons and liners as well.
I’m going to take the hint ( from the oil pres ) and do the whole motor.

Oil pressure variations are unlikely to have anything to do with pistons and liners.

That does not sound out of the bounds of reality to me. It’s about what we get with Jeff’s TR3.
How many hours of runtime is that for you?
Total hours is the only real way to know.

Greetings FoT,
I just finished perfect season sans one session where I snapped off my gas pedal but better that than the brake.
After two great seasons on the motor I started seeing some fluxuations in my oil pressure so I’m going to go ahead and rebuild it.
I’ll do a compression test today after a quick spin around the neighborhood.
Anyway, I just wanted to see what folks typically get for piston & liner life. I’m really only seeing a couple seasons.
Thanks for the input,
Jim g
