Hot weather as expected and more track time than you could imagine. 2 and ½ hrs on Saturday and 1 and ½ on Sunday.  Small turn out, Mark Craig and Tim Slater were there with their Spits and me with the  TR3A.  I was able to beat the 3 MG B's, 2 Mazda's and assorted others on Sat's race, but Stacey's twin cam Morgan and Jack Poteat's fast red and white Morgan were too much for me and I finished 3rd. in EP, 5th. Overall, very satisfying to this old man.
Sunday Morning's endure was going fine when suddenly I lost power to the coil/dist. By the time I cut for home they had not found the errant wire break or whatever.  The long back straight at Road Atlanta saw 6900 rpm at the braking point for 10A so I think a new crown/pinion perhaps a 4.1 is in the future.  No question that it's too hot, but that track and the time on it were too appealing for me to bypass the event.   Cheers!
