Be very careful. Octane ratings on Av Gas are different than standard gasoline and race fuels. Do your homework before calamity strikes.

I asked an acquaintance of mine who flies, whether I could get some AvGas from a local small airport to put in my seasonal driving Triumph for storage over the winter.  Indeed, the price is much better than racing fuel.  He told me that AvGas has a high degree of lead in it and he didn’t recommend that I use it.

Try your local GA airport. Here in Blacksburg VA 110 LL is $4.44 a gallon.
