Not so much in RMVR. They want to put me in the big bore class if I want to continue running dual webers.
It turns out the FIA homologation was too complicated.

The simple truth is that all the clubs and organizations are getting a lot looser on rules and regs. With good reason. Most are seeing a continual decline in participation. Very few of the valuable cars (meaning over a million) are raced at ordinary events any more. Most organizations are looking at substantially moving the acceptance dates for vintage to something more like 20-30 years old instead of 50-70 years old. For a lot of them it’s change or die.

though last time I looked, these boys (VRG) have never brought scales to an event. SVRA is checking for conformance though.
I think my roll cage (and a huge amount of bondo in the bonnet) more than make up for the missing interior and door glass.

VRG vehicle eligibility rules-
4.1.5. Weight: All production cars must adhere to minimum weights, as recognized by period SCCA PCS or OEM listed curb weight. Formula cars and sports-racers must adhere to period weight specifications for their type, where applicable. Cars which have been significantly lightened must be identified by the owner on the race entry form, and are subject to reclassification. Undeclared, lightened vehicles will be considered grounds for serious disciplinary action.
Curb weight definition-
Curb weight (US English) or kerb weight (UK English) is the total weight of a vehicle with standard equipment, all necessary operating consumables such as motor oil, transmission oil, coolant, air conditioning refrigerant, and a full tank of fuel, while not loaded with either passengers or cargo.

FYI - VARAC had scales at MOSPOT, and SVRA had them at the Glen. Took advantage of both with two different cars. Reminder, fuel up and stay in the car! I need to redo one car as I got out and was observing.

Scott, what type of scales are you using? I never weighed my car on the 4 corners but curious about weight biasing for road racing. Thanks

finally completed the differential rebuild for the GT6 and got it back in the car. bearing and gear lash set-up is incredibly time consuming - an iterative process.
Next up - check out the balance of the car in preparation for Millville NJ with VRG on Sept 18-20.

Early end of season for me, so took engine out for rebuild. Found two cracks in stud bosses for head bolts. So now I am tearing down one of my spare engines to use that block, which so far looks in really good shape.

Getting the 3 ready for CVAR's TWS last run redo in a couple weeks.
Can't wait, I have not raced the 3 since February and we have another new TxFOT member taking the drivers school.
Have a great Labor Day weekend.
