This past weekend was the best race event that I have experienced in  
many years. As some of you know, we have had a series of vetting  
issues since the frame-off rebuild of the TR6. The car was ready and I  
set a new personal best lap time of 2:46.5, took pole position for the  
Sheldon Cup Race and finished second to Datsun #57, completed every  
lap of the weekend and didn't leak a drop of oil! All this despite the  
fact that we eventually couldn't use fifth gear. There were a number  
of +7500 RPM shifts throughout the weekend.

We were fortunate to spend a little time meeting with Bob Tullius, the  
featured Guest of Honor. We were honored to have Bob sign the  
dashboard of the TR6 right next to Kas' signature. Loved Bob's stories  
during dinner about he and Paul Newman.

It was great to catch up to a number of the FoT contingent over the  
weekend. Thanks to Richard and Daniel Gehweiler for their many  
contributions.
