Our 78 Alfetta Chump car does Ok against the newer cars. It was 21 out of
70 at Road America recently. Check out B.S. Levy’s blog – he was one of
our drivers.

I like racing (and passing) Miatas. It's cool to see how our cars measure up against Modern 30-year old cars from 1985. We need more entries to keep the sport alive. At some point our Triumphs will be part of the Historic class.

Although I don't race, I am a worker, and I find myself at odds with some over the definition of vintage. I agree that Hondas are not, by my definition, vintage. At least not those built in the '80s or '90s.

My cars aren't that great but I avoid like the plague any event where newer cars will be allowed in the group with me. We went this year to the Hawk, there was a Honda CRX in the group. There's just no polishing that turd. Won't go again.

Well I like a nice looking car as well as anybody but I miss the lower tiered cars that used to come out in droves. The head counts at my local track “Mid-Ohio” are a mear shadow of what they used to be back in the early 90’s. Granted the cars that show up to race are top shelf but the paddocks sure are empty. Car shows are similar, used to be full of daily drivers, people hanging out having a good time but now the entries are half of what they used to be but everything is restored to the nth degree and the people with drivers don't even bother coming out for fear of being given the ole harry eyeball. My view anyhow.
