It was close racing between Christian Marx and me and with 62 cars (the Triumph Competition race went together with the UK Swinging Sixties) the track was busy too. In the 2 long left bends , I had no acceleration during some 5 seconds, idem on the left part of the Raidillon for a couple of seconds (the left/right sloping bend after the fast dive) because of a loose fuel uptake pipe inside the fuel tank  On the other hand, I was lucky to have a buffer car every now and then between me and Chris, otherwise he would have overtaken me. After the pit stop, I suddenly had a slipping clutch because one of the six clutch cover bolts broke and my race was over. The clutch and fuel air leak were recitfied for the 2nd race but then a conrod bearing failed in the 4th lap!
So , I still have mechanical troubles, but the car has proven to be very fast when it is in good shape.
Sooner or later it will show in the results.
