[Fot] Quaife for Spitfire/GT6

The Traction Concepts model looks like the old Phantom Grip, AKA: phantom slip as in it doesn't work very well. I had the Phantom Grip with the heavy duty springs. It worked for almost one hill climb event. I shipped the diff out to them for their"extreme" treatment. They re-machine the spring seats to accept bigger heavier springs. Again worked for about one hill climb event. I suspect with the dry installation of the friction blocks it took that long for the oil to work in between the blocks and spider gears. This was just my experience with that diff. Maybe with street tires in non-race conditions it may work better. My recommendation is to stay away from that one.

Jason,

Take a look at these options. Marcel uses the Yukon I believe and the other lets you convert your diff to a LSD..
I have tried neither but they look like good options to the Quaife.

This diff is going to be used for autox, vintage race, and street....I think the Quaife offers the best compromise for me- welded spiders would be a bit too much.

Not to spark a huge debate, but I simply weld the spider gears. It's a little cheaper.
Of course the driving style is a little different.
